Acrylic Care Guide

Our acrylic plaques are made to hold meaningful moments, and with a little care they can stay clear and beautiful for years to come.

 

✦ Before Displaying

Your plaque arrives with a thin protective film covering the surface to prevent scratches during shipping. Gently peel this layer away before displaying to reveal the clear shine underneath.

✦ Cleaning

Dust naturally settles over time, which can soften the clarity of the acrylic. A quick gentle clean keeps it looking bright.

Use:
• A soft microfiber cloth
• Slightly damp with water if needed
• Mild soap for occasional marks

Avoid:
• Paper towels or rough fabrics
• Sponges
• Alcohol, ammonia, or harsh cleaners

After cleaning, dry with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent water spots.

✦ Placement

For best longevity, display your plaque indoors and away from prolonged direct sunlight. Bright sun over time can fade printed designs.

Soft ambient lighting or indirect daylight works perfectly and keeps the glow effect looking its best.

✦ Restoring Shine

If the surface ever looks dull, lightly buff with a clean microfiber cloth.
For deeper polishing, only use a cleaner specifically made for acrylic surfaces.

✦ Storage

If storing your plaque:
• Keep it in a cool, dry place
• Do not stack heavy items on top
• Wrap in soft cloth or tissue to prevent scratches
